Dr. Sondra Lavigne joined our team at Aston Veterinary Hospital in 2021. She grew up in a small town in western Maryland and obtained her bachelor's degree in biology from Harvard University. Dr. Lavigne went on to complete her VMD/ PhD degree at the University of Pennsylvania. While earning her veterinary degree, she conducted research on the use of antibiotics in children and pets. She is particularly interested in dermatology, internal medicine, and forming long-term relationships with clients and their pets. Dr. Lavigne’s love for veterinary care has led her to foster and train multiple dogs, volunteer with local shelters, and be an active participant in spay and neuter programs. Dr. Lavigne lives in Springfield with her husband, son, their two cats (Apollo and Pippen) and new mixed breed pup (Millie). During her spare time, she enjoys gardening, board games, and hiking.
