Our Pet Projects

Aston Veterinary Hospital is a strong supporter of the local non-profits. We contribute our time and money to help local animal-focused community groups. Call today and ask about our “Pet Projects” and help grow our levels of support.

Here are some of the groups that we support today:

Animal Coalition of Delaware County

ACDC was founded by a group of concerned citizens who feel that all animals deserve a loving home and a fighting chance. Run entirely by volunteers, ACDC rescues and places cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs in screened and loving foster homes where they are socialized and well-cared for until they find permanent adoptive families.

Ariel's Angels Pet Food Pantry

We offer assistance with pet food, litter, supplies and resources for low cost vet care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and transportation to appointments for those in need. We deliver the food and supplies to those that cannot get out due to age, infirmity or disability. We are not a “food delivery service ” and assist those in need based on urgency and availability. We are also a rescue organization that saves and adopts out animals that have been abandoned, neglected, abused, surrendered by their owners to “high kill shelters”, or directly from owners that must re-home their pet due to unavoidable or severe circumstances. We rescue these animals and get them vet care, grooming, vaccines, tests, spay/neuter surgeries or anything else needed to ensure that they can get the second chance they deserve to be adopted into a loving and Forever Home.

Delaware Humane Association (DHA)

Founded in 1957, DHA is Delaware’s premiere nonprofit no kill animal shelter and adoption center. They are committed to providing for the needs of homeless dogs and cats in our community. Serving over 5,000 companion animals annually through direct intervention and many more through advocacy, they continue to promote the humane values of protection, care, and compassion for all living things.

Delaware County SPCA

The Delaware County SPCA is dedicated to intervention and prevention policies that protect and improve the health and welfare of companion animals and support the people who care for them.

PACT for Animals.org

PACT for Animals.org is an Emergency Pet Foster Care program for Hospital patients and military personnel that will reunite pets with owners when they are again able to care for their pets.
